In order to meet acceptable ASTM standards, a roof moisture survey report should contain basic information, such as the day of the survey, who conducted the survey, identify the roof areas, and the size of each roof area in the survey.  Also included in the report is a summary of wet areas and a description of procedures and theories used to perform the survey.

Optional Information

Roof diagrams are valuable additions to a roof moisture

  survey report, locating the areas of wet roof insulation.  Roof cores removed from the
roof system help to verify the moisture findings and assists in determining the roof's composition.  Roof diagrams and core information can be useful tools for any required remedial action.
